How Can We Help?
Purchasing New Equipment
Purchasing a PC (Desktop or Laptop)
There is currently a HEAnet framework agreement in place with Dell until 23rd May 2019. UCD IT Services has published detailed information on obtaining Dell computers through the agreement, as well as Apple Macs and other Apple products.
For non Apple products, ILTG recommend purchasing from the Dell options available under the Framework agreement (specific Latitude laptops and Optiplex desktops) as listed on the Dell Premier Page for UCD. Should you have requirements outside of what is available under the framework agreement, please contact us for assistance. Should you need any assistance with the purchasing process we will be happy to help in that regard also.
Please see here for full details of the framework agreement.
Purchasing an Apple Mac or other Apple Product
There is a framework agreement consisting of “lots” for different products from different vendors. The lots are as follows:
- iPad and iPad mini, provider iConnect/Screenway: HEANET-APPLE-LOT1-MINIT2017@LISTSERV.HEANET.IE
- iPad Pro, provider Wriggle: HEANET-APPLE-LOT2-MINIT2017@LISTSERV.HEANET.IE
- All Mac products, provider CompuB: HEANET-APPLE-LOT3-MINIT2017@LISTSERV.HEANET.IE
- Entire Apple range and a range of services, provider CompuB: HEANET-APPLE-LOT4-MINIT2017@LISTSERV.HEANET.IE
- Entire Apple range and a range of services, provider Wriggle: HEANET-APPLE-LOT5-MINIT2017@LISTSERV.HEANET.IE
You can request quotes or purchase from one or more lots and do not need to draw from multiple lots when purchasing. For example, if you need to purchase an iPad Pro you could purchase it through lot 2, 4 or 5 but not lots 1 or 3; to purchase a Macbook Pro, you could purchase it via lots 3, 4 or 5 but not lots 1 or 2, and so on. To request a quote, please email the address(s) listed above.
Purchasing Audio Visual Equipment
We will consult on your exact requirements and help you source the right equipment or solution from the right vendor. Please contact us for further information.
Avoid purchasing audio visual equipment from office supplies companies or catalogues. Much of this equipment is not suitable for a commercial environment and doesn’t offer the durability or warranty required and offers poor value for money.
