Microsoft released Windows 11 on October 5, 2021. At present, it is not recommended that you upgrade computers used with UCD systems to Windows 11.
Windows 11 is a major update from Windows 10 (or earlier). Based on previous major updates, there is a possibility that hardware or software may not be immediately compatible with Windows 11. We do not currently have any indications from IT Services or other teams as to the compatibility of Windows 11 with core UCD systems.
Windows 10 will continue to be fully supported by Microsoft, ILTG and IT Services.
In general, ILTG recommends against immediately upgrading to the latest version of any operating system when it is first released due to possible compatibility issues.
We DO recommend that users apply all security and maintenance updates as they become available for whatever software you are running on your computer.
